Picking Up Your Trailer in Dover

Rental pickups in Dover are straightforward and owner-friendly. Once your booking is confirmed, you'll connect directly with the trailer owner to arrange a convenient time and location, usually within a day or two. Most owners are happy to walk you through the trailer's features, condition, and safety systems before you head out. Before towing, confirm your vehicle has the right hitch type (Class II, III, or IV depending on the trailer's weight), and that your hitch ball matches the coupler size. Check your vehicle's towing capacity in the owner's manual, and verify that your brakes, lights, and wiring harness are in good condition. If you're renting an enclosed or larger utility trailer, make sure you understand the brake system and any special handling requirements. Your owner will point out tie-down spots and explain load limits. All rentals include the NT Protect protection package, which covers accidental damage to the trailer along with theft and vandalism during your rental period.
