In the very front of the trailer underneath the gooseneck is a built-in toolbox from the factory with key lock that's loaded with the following items that's included in your rental (no extra charges): 2 heavy-duty Grade 8 chain binders, 12 yellow heavy-duty large ratchet load straps, 4 orange heavy-duty vehicle wheel straps, 8 green small ratchet load straps. 2 removable (locking pin) adjustable rear landing gear legs for stability when loading heavy loads. In the rear there are (2) hook-on solid steel loading ramps that slide out and have padlocks for securement. Heavy-duty drive-over fenders. Heavy-duty solid steel side rails for heavy loads. 4 heavy-duty solid mounted D-rings on each side of the deck for heavy loads. On the front deck of the trailer I do have a diamond-plated 60-gallon auxiliary diesel fuel tank for the long haul traveling when you find diesel for a cheap price. I bought this trailer for the sole purpose of taking my side by side from Arizona to Wisconsin then coming back to AZ with a classic car also and it pulls amazingly.

Adventure

With its scenic setting and easy access to coastlines, forests, and historic trails, Bridgewater offers a diverse palette of outdoor experiences. The Centennial Trail, which runs through town as part of the larger South Shore Annapolis Valley Trail system, is a popular route for walkers, cyclists, and ATV riders. This converted rail bed weaves through woodlands, bridges, and riverbanks, offering stunning views and easy accessibility for all skill levels. The LaHave River itself invites kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing, especially during the spring and summer seasons when trout and salmon are plentiful. Just a short drive away is the Ovens Natural Park, famous for its sea caves and coastal hiking trails that allow visitors to explore dramatic cliffs shaped by centuries of Atlantic waves. In nearby Lunenburg County, adventure continues with options for beach hiking at Hirtle’s Beach, surfing at Crescent Beach, and camping along quiet backroads under the stars. Bridgewater’s central location makes it an ideal base for exploring both the oceanfront and inland forests of Nova Scotia’s South Shore, providing experiences that balance scenic tranquility with physical challenge.

Wildlife

The area around Bridgewater is a haven for biodiversity, enriched by its riverside ecosystem and surrounding Acadian forests. The LaHave River, which courses through the town, is a vital waterway that supports a variety of aquatic life, including brook trout, Atlantic salmon, and smallmouth bass. It’s also home to a population of river otters and is a seasonal stop for migrating waterfowl such as mallards, black ducks, and Canada geese. Birdwatchers in the area enjoy sightings of bald eagles and ospreys—often seen nesting near the river—while songbirds fill the forests with sound in spring and summer. Wentzell Lake Provincial Park Reserve, just outside Bridgewater, offers excellent opportunities to encounter wildlife in their natural habitats, including white-tailed deer, porcupines, and red squirrels. Amphibians like spring peepers and green frogs thrive in the wetlands, and during quieter hours, foxes and raccoons can often be observed near trail edges. Fancy Lake and Hebb Lake are not just popular for boating and swimming—they also serve as important habitats for turtles and shorebirds. Conservation groups in Lunenburg County actively protect nesting sites and water quality, ensuring long-term biodiversity. Whether strolling along the riverbanks in downtown Bridgewater or hiking deeper into the surrounding woodlands, residents and visitors alike are consistently close to nature in all its forms.

Car Culture

Car Culture

Bridgewater is a town where car culture thrives not through big-ticket shows but through grassroots community gatherings and a genuine love for all things automotive. Every summer, the town plays host to the Bridgewater Car Show, which draws local enthusiasts from across Lunenburg County and beyond. Held in the downtown area or at the South Shore Exhibition Grounds, the event features an impressive lineup of vintage Mustangs, hot rods, lifted trucks, and lovingly restored classic cars, each telling its own story. The South Shore Cruisers car club plays an active role in keeping the automotive spirit alive with weekly summer cruise-ins and seasonal poker runs that wind through some of Nova Scotia’s most scenic coastal routes. From Bridgewater, a popular drive takes enthusiasts along the Lighthouse Route, with stops in Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and Chester, offering both road thrills and postcard-worthy scenery. Local garages and restoration shops around the town serve as the beating heart of the scene—places where generations share knowledge and swap parts. Teenagers and retirees alike can be found chatting over engine blocks in driveways and workshops. For many, cars in Bridgewater are not just about transportation; they are a lifestyle, a passion, and a tangible link to mechanical heritage. The community spirit is strong, and the car scene reflects it perfectly—welcoming, nostalgic, and deeply rooted in South Shore pride.
