Picking Up Your Trailer in Clayton

Pickup from local owners in Clayton is straightforward. You'll coordinate directly with your neighbor through the Neighbors Trailer app, confirm a time that works for both of you, and pick up your trailer. Most owners offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends. Before you leave, inspect the trailer condition, verify all lights and connections are secure, and make sure you understand the setup. Before you hit the road, confirm your vehicle can safely tow the trailer you've rented. You'll need a compatible hitch receiver (Class II or higher for most utility and car hauler trailers), a secure hitch ball, and a properly wired connector for brake lights and turn signals. If you're unsure whether your vehicle can handle the load, ask your owner or check your vehicle's towing capacity in the owner's manual. Trailers in Clayton are hitched and ready to go, but it's on you to ensure your vehicle is up to the job and that everything is connected safely before departing.
