How does enrollment in the Toll Program work?
License plates are now automatically enrolled in the Neighbors Trailer Toll Program by default whenever a trailer owner adds a license plate to their listing. No separate enrollment step is required — once your plate is on the listing, the trailer is active for toll tracking during rentals.
Opting Out of the Toll Program
If you do not want your trailer to participate in the Toll Program, you can opt out at any time. By opting out, you take full financial responsibility for any toll bills generated during a rental and agree that Neighbors Trailer will not pass those charges through to the renter on your behalf.
To opt out:
- Sign in to your account.
- Navigate to the listing for the trailer you want to opt out.
- Scroll to the bottom of the listing page.
- Select the Opt Out button.
You can re-enroll at any time by returning to the same location on the listing page.
Important: Remove Your Trailer from Any Personal Tolling Accounts
If your trailer is currently listed on a personal tolling account with any toll authority, you must remove it for the Neighbors Trailer Toll Program to work correctly. When a trailer is linked to your personal tolling account, any toll charges incurred during a rental will be billed directly to you as the owner instead of being passed through to the renter by Neighbors Trailer.
This applies to all tolling authorities, including but not limited to:
- SunPass (FL)
- E-ZPass (Northeast, Midwest, and mid-Atlantic states)
- TxTag, TollTag (NTTA), and EZ TAG (TX)
- FasTrak (CA)
- Peach Pass (GA)
- I-PASS (IL)
- Good To Go! (WA)
- ExpressToll (CO)
- PlatePass and other rental/plate-based programs
- Any other state, regional, or private tolling account
To ensure renters are properly charged for tolls they incur during their bookings:
- Log in to your tolling authority's website or mobile app.
- Navigate to your vehicle/transponder list.
- Locate your trailer's license plate.
- Remove the trailer from your account.
Repeat this process for every tolling account where your trailer may be listed. If you are unsure whether your trailer is registered on a tolling account, contact the tolling authority directly to confirm.
Once the trailer has been removed from all personal tolling accounts, all tolls incurred during active rentals will be tracked and billed to the renter automatically.
If you have questions about the Toll Program, contact Neighbors Trailer Support for assistance.
