Suitable for dumping and hauling all kinds of materials, and moving equipment such as excavators, skid steers, etc. Has 8,000lb loading ramps. Newer model (Dec. 2025). Electric brakes on all axles. NO EXCEPTIONS: Trailer will not be released without a verified, functioning brake controller at pickup. This is a safety requirement and is not negotiable. Functionality will be verified via a brake test at the time of handoff. BC law limits Class 4, 5, and 7 (novice) license holders to towing trailer weight of 4,600 kg (total trailer and load). For towing above 4,600 kg, a Code 20 (heavy trailer endorsement) or Class 1–3 license is required. Renter is responsible for ensuring compliance with BC licensing and vehicle rating requirements. Note regarding licensing limits: 4,600 kg GVW is approximately 10,141lbs total combined weight of trailer and load. This trailer weighs approximately 4,000lbs empty, leaving roughly 6,000lbs of available payload within Class 4, 5, or 7 (novice) license limits. To tow above 4,600 kg, BC requires either a Class 1–3 license or a Class 4/5 license with a Code 20 (heavy trailer) endorsement for non-air-brake trailers. Renter is responsible for ensuring they meet all BC licensing and vehicle rating requirements. During pickup or delivery, I will go over all the functions of the trailer with you so that we are both confident you will have a safe and productive rental!

Adventure

Adventure

This vibrant community offers some of the most diverse and exhilarating adventure opportunities in British Columbia. With the Discovery Passage on its doorstep and Strathcona Provincial Park to the west, Campbell River serves as a central hub for both marine and mountain adventures. The city’s coastal waters are ideal for kayaking, whale watching, and scuba diving. Adventurers often embark on kayak tours through the protected channels of the Discovery Islands, where calm seas offer up-close encounters with seals, eagles, and even orcas. For diving enthusiasts, the HMCS Columbia, an artificial reef sunk off Maud Island, offers one of the top cold-water diving experiences in the province. Inland, Strathcona Park provides alpine hiking, rock climbing, and glacier trekking. Trails like the Elk River Trail and the ascent to Kings Peak offer breathtaking views, challenging elevation gains, and a deep immersion into Vancouver Island’s rugged wilderness. During winter months, nearby Mount Washington Alpine Resort attracts skiers and snowboarders with its deep powder and panoramic views of the Pacific. Adventure also takes a cultural form in Campbell River, with indigenous-guided eco-tours offering unique insights into the land, sea, and traditional ways of life. Whether you’re ziplining through forest canopies, exploring tide pools, or flying high on a floatplane to a remote inlet, Campbell River is a launchpad for discovery where adventure is written into the landscape.

Wildlife

Campbell River’s unique geography, where ocean currents meet lush forest and alpine terrain, supports one of the most vibrant ecosystems in British Columbia. Marine life is at the forefront—killer whales, humpback whales, sea lions, dolphins, and harbor seals are regularly spotted on wildlife tours through the Discovery Passage. The region is especially renowned for its salmon runs, which not only sustain the local fishing economy but also feed a wide range of predators, including black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and river otters. One of the most awe-inspiring spectacles occurs in nearby Bute Inlet, where grizzly bear tours from late summer into early fall bring visitors face-to-face with these majestic animals as they feast on spawning salmon. Birdwatching is equally rich, with species like great blue herons, osprey, mergansers, and countless migratory songbirds calling the area home. Inland, the forests and mountains surrounding Campbell River are habitats for Roosevelt elk, cougars, and Vancouver Island marmots—one of the world’s most endangered mammals. The city's proximity to Elk Falls Provincial Park, with its towering waterfalls and expansive canyon, provides excellent opportunities for spotting wildlife while hiking or picnicking. Local initiatives like the Discovery Passage Aquarium and the Quinsam River Hatchery play a major role in conservation education, showcasing the fragile interdependence of species in this biodiverse corner of the world. In Campbell River, you don’t need to venture far to witness wildlife—in fact, it often finds you, whether in the backyard, along a trail, or across the water’s surface.

Car Culture

Car Culture

Campbell River may be known for its natural beauty, but it also has a loyal and lively car community that reflects the broader enthusiasm for automobiles found across Vancouver Island. Each summer, the Campbell River Shoreline Car Cruise and Show brings together a wide variety of classic cars, hot rods, vintage trucks, and imports. Set along the scenic Island Highway with ocean views in the background, this event draws both locals and enthusiasts from across the island. The show is more than a display—it’s a rolling celebration of chrome, history, and personal craftsmanship. Enthusiasts showcase lovingly restored Mustangs, ‘50s Chevys, and modern performance cars, while families enjoy live music, food trucks, and prize giveaways. In nearby Courtenay and Comox, additional car shows and club events create a strong network for auto lovers who often cruise together on the winding, picturesque roads of the island. For those looking for speed, Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit, located a few hours south near Cowichan, provides a high-performance driving experience with professional-level facilities, offering everything from track days to private coaching. The local passion extends to off-roading as well—Campbell River’s backcountry logging roads and mountainous trails are popular with 4x4 and ATV clubs, particularly those who modify vehicles for the rugged island terrain. Whether it’s the roar of a rebuilt V8 at a weekend show or the hum of a tuned Subaru cresting a mountain trail, car culture in Campbell River is alive and well, uniquely tied to the island’s landscape and the pride of its close-knit community.
